Meaningful Participation: Challenges and Opportunities in Expanding Civic Space

Among the most important aspects in the implementation of protecting and expanding of civil space is to look at the extent to which State authority would involve civil society in the making of public policies/regulations, as well as decision-making. In the Indonesian and global context, representative democracy has been increasingly showing a clear narrowing trend when it comes to involving civil society and vulnerable groups in policy making process.

We invite you to join the webinar on Meaningful Participation: Challenges and Opportunities in Expanding Civic Space. This series of thematic public discussions is carried out in developing and protecting the civil space which is one of priority issues highlighted by the C20 Sub-Working Group.
